Our Youth Programs have undergone an extreme makeover! We've renamed the programs and increased the dollar amount of awards to encourage young people to get involved in parish volunteerism.

Recent News and Activities 

  • Salute to Youth is a national recognition program to honor high school seniors who give of their time, energy and talents to serve others and to improve themselves. The high school senior should be a member of the Catholic Aid Association, lead a balanced life, pay back to the community, and keep at least a 2.75 grade point average. Congratulations to John Kimlinger, Tony LeClair, Brooke Matuska and Buddy Schaust! Learn more about our honorees here.
  • Congratulations to Kayla Yarusso, Youth Volunteer of the Year for 2009 award winner. Kayla was presented with this award by CAA to recognize her outstanding volunteer service to her community and council during the past year. We are now accepted nominations for the 2010 Youth Volunteer of the Year! Check out our Youth Volunteer of the Year web page.
  • May 1, 2010 is the next meeting of the Young Adult Advisory Team! The Young Adult Advisory Team’s primary purpose is to explore how Catholic Aid can increase visibility, promote volunteerism, and foster spirituality in Catholic Aid’s young people and to look at how young people can assist Catholic Aid councils in strengthening relationships with youth. Programs for Catholic Young People

World Youth Day Scholarships

Catholic Aid is offering scholarships for World Youth Day 2011! Catholic Aid Association encourages young people in their Catholic spirituality and volunteerism. World Youth Day encourages these same values. Catholic Aid is announcing that there are 60 scholarships in the amount of $500.00 each for members who are pilgrims. The scholarship recipients will be chosen randomly in a lottery style drawing. All Catholic Aid young people attending World Youth Day are encouraged to apply for this scholarship between now and November 2010. Catholic Aid is pleased to offer this benefit to our members. Post High School Tuition Scholarship Program

Catholic Aid has supported our young members by giving over two million dollars in scholarships to young people seeking college degrees, vocational training and job certifications that will help them achieve. Learn more about our scholarship program here.

Project: Multiply (Formerly Youth Grant Program)

CAA gives your youth program $25 in seed money and you help to make it multiply up to $500 per year!

Project: Volunteer (Formerly Youth Parish Program)

This project combines youth volunteers and valuable assistance to the parish. CAA will give $2 per hour worked up to $400 per year for CAA members, ages 19 and under, that volunteer.


Project: Bonus and Project: Bonus Plus (Formerly Youth Allotment)

Catholic Aid takes a leadership role in providing financial support to local councils when they plan a social gathering for youth.
