Youth and Young Adults Our Youth Programs have undergone an extreme makeover! We've renamed the programs and increased the dollar amount of awards to encourage young people to get involved in parish volunteerism. If you want to put one of the programs listed below to work in your parish, contact Youth Fraternal Liaison Heather Vargo for more information, 1-800-568-6670, ext. 187. Catholic Aid is offering scholarships for World Youth Day 2011! Catholic Aid Association encourages young people in their Catholic spirituality and volunteerism. World Youth Day encourages these same values. Catholic Aid is announcing that there are 60 scholarships in the amount of $500.00 each for members who are pilgrims. The scholarship recipients will be chosen randomly in a lottery style drawing. All Catholic Aid young people attending World Youth Day are encouraged to apply for this scholarship between now and November 2010. Catholic Aid is pleased to offer this benefit to our members. Learn more about scholarships to World Youth Day here. Catholic Aid has supported our young members by giving over two million dollars in scholarships to young people seeking college degrees, vocational training and job certifications that will help them achieve. Learn more about our scholarship program here. CAA gives your youth program $25 in seed money and you help to make it multiply up to $500 per year! This project combines youth volunteers and valuable assistance to the parish. CAA will give $2 per hour worked up to $400 per year for CAA members, ages 19 and under, that volunteer. Catholic Aid takes a leadership role in providing financial support to local councils when they plan a social gathering for youth. Catholic Aid recognizes our young members who accomplish outstanding things in their communities and among their peers. To read more about this program, click here.Your Youth Fraternal Liaison
