Read Mike's Answers May 27, 2009 Hi Mike, Does your organization provide funds for Catholic Senior Living Campuses? If so, what is the criteria and request form that you use? We have two projects going on. One is to replace/upgrade the two CPUs in our Resident library. The other project is to raise monetary funds for a new wheelchair accessible van for our Madonna Meadows campus. I thank you in advance for your response. Sandy M. Sandy, First, the organization must be in the areas where we do business, which include Minnesota and parts of the four surrounding states. Secondly, we would like to have an active Catholic Aid council or two in the area of the home. Finally, we need a link to our membership, such as several members using the facility or doing volunteer work there. This is so we can piggyback on the local council to enrich the program. Sandy, I hope this helps you understand our programs better. You can let me know if you see a link we can work from to help your fine organization out. Sincerely, MikeMike Responds:
Thank you so much for your question regarding grants for Catholic senior living campuses. The Catholic Aid Association has a 131-year history of support of all causes recognized by our Faith, and certainly care of the elderly would come under that umbrella. Currently, we provide some support for Catholic Eldercare in St. Paul, Minn. However, we do have some guidelines that we follow.
